Abstract

Background: The HR department's approach to HRM operations and data sharing has evolved because of technological advances. It not only simplifies access to large amounts of data but also drastically reduces the amount of paperwork required daily. Despite the growing importance of electronic human resources management (E-HRM) in enhancing HR practices and organizational sustainable competitive advantage (SCA) worldwide, a significant lack of comprehensive research on the adoption, implementation, and impact of E-HRM on SCA exists in the health sector of Pakistan.

Objectives: To examine the relationship between E-HRM and SCA with user satisfaction (US) and continuous usage intention (CUI) as mediators.

Methods: This study uses a positive paradigm, and deductive approach. Out of 1799 public and private healthcare establishments of Peshawar division, 280 responses were collected from HR practitioners using structured questionnaires and analyses was done by SPSS and AMOS.

Results: The results of this study established that E-HRM practices have a significantly positive effect on SCA of an organization with a positive mediation effect of US and CUI.

Conclusion: The study provides constructive insights for HR practitioners in the healthcare sector, highlighting the evolving role of HRM in the digital era.
